UPCOMING EVENTS & MEETINGS

The St. Helena Historical Society was inaugurated four years ago. A small group of enthusiasts decided that there was a need to collect, maintain, and make available for reference the history of the town. The Society has grown with membership now over 100.  Each monthly meeting includes an educational lecture at a significant local landmark.

EVENT: Visit/Lecture  “Civil War Veterans & Memorial Day”.

Speaker Dean Enderlin tells about the Civil War veterans at St. Helena Cemetery. The Grand Army of the Republic (GAR) was founded in 1866 for veterans, who instituted Memorial Day. This will be the 110th anniversary of the holiday.

“Spirits of St. Helena” Cemetery Discovery Walk

 Tour the historic cemetery with a guide to meet the characters for whom our streets are named.
